German developer SAP has released the latest version of its Business One application. The software is an integration tool for operations that include sales, finance, purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing.
The new version contains enhancements designed to speed up installation and be more compatible with Microsoft Excel-based reporting and analytics tools.
Business One seeks to help small and midsize enterprises automate and link their operations while adapting to market demands and compliance requirements, and to help those businesses connect with customers, suppliers, and distributors.
This latest version contains a more customizable and intuitive interface that allows users to filter information and access data more efficiently. Added tool tips seek to provide better navigation, while other improvements focus on making it easier to work with attachments and to facilitate access to online help.
The software's new Copy Express tool allows businesses to copy custom reports, queries, user settings, and other configurations from one installation to another. These configurations can then be deployed at customer sites, reducing set-up time and errors.
Business One's new multilanguage support of trade documents for invoices, quotes, and purchase orders allows users to speak to their business partners in their native tongues. The software assigns a specific language to each customer or vendor when trade documents are printed or displayed, and a new embedded user dictionary allows translation of items, remarks, and documents.
This new version also seeks to help businesses meet compliance standards in different countries by addressing local and regional requirements, such as tax declaration and sales reports for European Union countries and other individual markets.
Pricing is $3,750 per user for a minimum of three users.
