Satellite television operator DirecTV is planning to deliver its television content to mobile devices, the Reuters news service reported Thursday.
The service said that DirecTV CEO Chase Carey told financial analysts in a conference call that the company was working with "an array of partners" to deliver television content to mobile devices.
"That is going to be how you continue to expand the DirecTV experience beyond simply television," Carey told analysts, according to Reuters. He added that DirecTV will provide "a fair amount of devices of our own."
He reportedly told the analysts that DirecTV will show some of those devices at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January.
