Privately held AtomShockwave Corp. on Wednesday said it bought AddictingGames.com, a gaming Web site, expanding its presence in the online game market.
AtomShockwave, which provides Web-based interactive games and short films, said the acquisition expands its monthly audience to 30 million unique users. Terms were not disclosed.
"This acquisition is the first step in an aggressive plan to extend our media footprint, and continue to attract millions of consumers," Mika Salmi, AtomShockwave's chief executive said in a statement.
AtomShockwave was formed by the 2001 merger of Shockwave.com and AtomFilms.
