Fujitsu to make graphics chips for S3

LONDON — A 90-nanometer manufacturing process belonging to Fujitsu Ltd. is to be used to produce a range of graphics processors for S3 Graphics Co. Ltd., Fujitsu said.

Fujitsu is to manufacture the Chrome graphics processor family at its Mie facility and S3 Graphics is planning to continue its foundry relationship with Fujitsu for products beyond the 90-nm generation, Fujitsu said.

The companies did not say when the Fujitsu-made 90-nm Chrome processors would become available.
