The BI platform which left beta this week comprises several products all of which have been upgraded to coincide with the latest release. The products are JasperAnalysis which provides online analytical processing for small and midsize businesses; JasperReports iReports and JasperServer.
JasperAnalysis new to the framework provides realtime analysis of large datasets officials with the San Francisco company said. The tool provides a graphical interface organizing information along different axes to identify trends anomalies and correlations within the data. Reports created in JasperIntelligence can be viewed in HTML PDF Microsoft Excel and Word or other output formats.
Other features in JasperAnalysis include dynamic filtering and charting an OLAP engine and the ability to map onto existing relational data sources without requiring data movement.
The JasperServer which provides integration to data sources and other services provides access control to a perreport and object basis scheduling and report distribution. The upgrades of JasperReports and iReport include a plugin to JasperServer.
Versions of JasperSoft's opensource products are available without charge. The company also sells commercial licenses that include support and services. The number of downloads of the JasperIntelligence platform has topped million downloads the company said noting that it has recorded deployments and has paying customers.
