The IRS is making tracking a tax refund check online as easy as finding a ZIP code.
U.S. income tax filers who submitted their 2005 returns electronically and are expecting a refund may get a status on that payment by visiting the Get Refund Status page on the IRS website.
Users must enter three pieces of information: social security number, filing status, and amount of the refund due.
Nearly 54 million tax returns had been filed electronically as of March 31, according to a report from the Reuters news agency.
