BMC Software Inc. (NYSE:BMC - news), which makes software used to manage business computers, said on Monday it had agreed to buy Israel's Identify Software Ltd., an application problem resolution software maker, for about $150 million.
BMC Software, based in Houston, Texas, said it expected the deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions, to close in the first quarter of fiscal 2007.
BMC Chief Executive Bob Beauchamp said the acquisition of Tel Aviv-based Identify, which has about 500 customers, would further extend BMC's presence in transaction management.
