Agile Software today announced Agile Advantage 2006, the latest version of its product lifecycle management (PLM) suite for small and medium-size businesses (SMBs).
By delivering greater visibility into the product lifecycle, Agile Advantage 2006 will speed product innovation, reduce product development costs, enhance product quality, and drive profitability, according to the firm.
Among other enhancements, Agile Advantage 2006 includes product compliance management, a module that helps SMBs to track material and substance information for each specific product against multiple compliance directives and environmental regulations. The Standards and Compliance Management module helps SMBs to manage product and program compliance, allowing them to meet standards and regulatory requirements with minimal disruption to their businesses. Discrete modules track and maintain data related to ISO 9000 compliance, and FDA Title 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
In addition, the Agile Engineering Data eXchange module automates the engineering to manufacturing handoff, enabling collaborative design reviews, and saving design times by leveraging existing design vaults.
