IntelliReach Corp. has partnered with instant messaging security provider Akonix Systems to integrate their technologies in order to provide a single index for archived e-mail and instant messages as part of IntelliReach’s mx2020 essage management system.
The integration of Akonix with IntelliReach mx2020 was propelled by customer demand, predominantly among financial services organizations that use Akonix’s L7 Enterprise IM management system for securing, controlling, and logging instant messaging, according to Akonix.
IntelliReach mx2020 integrates archiving, compliance, discovery, filtering, and secure messaging into a single policy-based system that is delivered as a managed service. The companies are positioning the Akonix IM integration for IntelliReach customers who need a single index for archived e-mail and instant messages to achieve compliance with regulatory requirements pertaining to both e-mail and instant messaging, such as SEC 17a, NASD 3010, HIPAA, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
