BANGALORE, India — Starting work in June 2004 about 500 technical staff based at Intel’s Bangalore office designed parts of Intel’s Centrino Duo processor, formerly known as Yonah. The processor is Intel’s dual-core processor designed for implementation in 65-nanometer manufacturing process.
The Centrino Duo “platform” comprises the Centrino Duo processor, the 945 Express peripheral logic chips and the PRO/Wireless 3945ABG wireless LAN connection.
“The Intel Centrino Duo mobile technology platform developed in India, creates a new leap in how people work and play, taking advantage of a new generation of uses and experiences," said Anand Chandrasekhar, senior vice president and general manager, sales and marketing group, Intel Corp.
