Lexmark International and Xyron have teamed up to develop a cordless handheld printer for the crafting market that prints directly on a variety of materials.
The Xyron Design Runner, unveiled Monday, includes also a docking station, a complete 40-design sample Design Disc, an acid-free black inkjet cartridge and two batteries. The printer has a suggested retail price of $139.99.
“With just the touch of a button it is now easier than ever before to print custom designs on fabric, wood, polymer clay, wallpaper and other surfaces,” according to the press release. “Consumers no longer need to purchase special printer adapters for odd-sized papers or use multi-step heat-based image transfer processes.”
