3M to acquire Siemens' flex circuit group

3M has agreed to acquire the Siemens Ultrasound Division's flexible circuit manufacturing line in Canoga Park, Calif.

Terms of the transaction, expected to close by the year’s end, were not disclosed. The facility employs 56 people and will remain in Canoga Park as part of 3M.

The transaction is expected to expand 3M’s business in the ultrasound and medical imaging markets, according to Frank Little, division vice president of 3M Electronic Solutions Div.
