Avidian Technologies today announced an upgrade of Prophet, a Microsoft Outlook-based sales software package that focuses on the sales management needs of small and midsized businesses (SMBs).
"Most small businesses use Outlook, and don't want to have to learn an entire new software package in order to implement sales management features," said James Wong, CEO and co-founder of Avidian Technologies. "We solved this issue by integrating Prophet deeply within Outlook."
Unlike traditional CRM or sales management software, Prophet is built into Outlook, eliminating the need to manage multiple contact databases or to toggle between separate applications. Prophet 3.0 is built on the .NET platform and can easily integrate with other business software.
Prophet 3.0 includes the following new features:
Tighter integration outside Outlook provides a faster load time and allows users to manage sales information right from their Outlook Inbox or Contacts screen.
A "sales assistant" feature allows users to send pre-set, timed emails to contacts.
A workflow engine allows users to customize automatic sales cycle actions and create consistent sales processes to make sure critical tasks get accomplished for every prospect or sale.
"Groups" and "permissions" features support unlimited hierarchical sales structures so that the right people see the right information.
Other features new to Prophet 3.0 include increased customizations, advanced reporting options, and additional "opportunity manager" and "contact manager" features.
The Prophet 3.0 product suite can be purchased as Prophet Standard, Prophet Professional Client, Prophet Professional Server, Prophet Enterprise Client, and Prophet Enterprise Server.
The product ships immediately. Prices for Prophet Standard Edition start at $199 per user; and for Prophet Professional Edition at $399 per user.
