Senvid introduced MioNet, virtual workplace software that allows small business users to remotely access, share, and back up data and applications to local and remote computers.
By delivering a single integrated view of a user's entire digital content--a view that is the same regardless of where the data is located or where they are located--MioNet provides a simple, secure, and economical solution to connect employees to their data, each other, and their trust partners, said Lambertus Hesselink, president, co-founder, and chief executive officer of Senvid. "A successful small business requires a network of interlocking business relationships, and MioNet allows small businesses to create efficient, dynamic partnerships by securely sharing selected information between workers, suppliers, partners, and consultants.
The solution is completely software-based. No hardware or virtual private network (VPN) is necessary. The MioNet solution is targeted at small businesses (less than 20 employees) with no VPN, IT personnel, or central servers.
MioNet solves small business challenges that otherwise require a host of software and hardware solutions. According to Hesselink, it successfully compares to existing means of collaborating and sharing information, including email, file synchronization solutions, and remote desktop solutions, such as GoToMyPC or PCAnywhere, which cannot share data with partners or employees, and which have no shared infrastructure for forms.
