Juniper Networks opened a new technical center here Wednesday (Nov. 23) built at a cost of $8.5 million.
The opening comes two years after it started an R&D center that includes a laboratory that supports product development by testing systems for Juniper’s solutions.
"Ten percent of the overall engineering workforce in Juniper is based in India, and they work on all product lines as the U.S. R&D center," said Sridhar Sarathy, managing director of Juniper's India operations.
With capacity for future expansion, the center will focus on a range of projects. The workforce here will be doubled to about 650 over the next year, Juniper said.
