Micron Technology Inc. sees partnerships with other companies as a strategy to improve performance, Chief Executive Steve Appleton said on Wednesday amid speculation that Micron might form a partnership with Intel Corp.
Prudential Equity Group said in a Tuesday report that Intel and Micron could announce a NAND flash memory joint venture in the coming weeks, with production based at Micron's Manassas, Virginia facility.

With the announcement in early September of the iPod video and new iMac, Apple Computer gave users two new applications: Front Row and Photo Booth. Unfortunately, the applications, Apple said, would only be available on the new iMac and had no plans to put them on any of their other products.

Apple Computer on Monday said its iTunes online service has sold a million videos in under 20 days, sending shares up almost 5 percent.
iTunes, the most popular online music store, began selling about 2,000 music videos and episodes of ABC's "Desperate Housewives" and "Lost" for $1.99 (1.12 pounds) on October 12.

The debut coincided with the launch of a new generation of Apple's iPod digital music player that can play video on its 2.5-inch color screen.

Apple on Monday released an update for Mac OS X, bringing both the client and server versions of the operating system to 10.4.3. Among the changes in the update are improvements to Safari, Mail, iChat and Apple’s desktop searching tool, Spotlight.

Owners of Apple Computer iPods have trouble using their trendy music players in their cars, according to an unscientific survey released last week.
The ``quick poll'' of 150 people, done earlier this month by the www.autobytel.com car-buying Web site, showed that only 33 percent of iPod users ``very successfully'' hooked up their players to their rides. Apple has posted Final Cut Pro 5 Updates, aimed at all applications included with Final Cut Pro 5 — Final Cut Pro 5 itself, Cinema Tools 3, LiveType 2 and Compressor 2. The 85MB download is available from Apple’s Downloads Web site.
